Encouraging creative thought in the regions of Armenia
The goal of the film school, affiliated with the festival, is to encourage the creative thinking of children in the regional and border communities of Armenia and to spark their interest in the world around them.
Students overcome the automatism of perception and learn to see, re-evaluate, and re-imagine everyday reality in new ways through the expansion of art and self-expression opportunities.
In the 21st century, as the culture of reading gives way to a visual culture, media literacy and visual self-expression are becoming increasingly important.
Modern technological advancements provide wide opportunities to explore the world through the language of cinema, without the need for special technical equipment.
Students watch and discuss various films, as well as the material they have filmed themselves.
This includes the actual shooting and editing processes.
The created films are traditionally screened at the closing ceremony of the "Apricot Tree" International Film Festival.
